How to get to Bristol-Bath Railway Path

Bristol Bath Railway PathEver wondered how to get to Bristol-Bath Railway Path? Well wonder no more!

This movie shows you the route from the back of Bristol Temple Meads to the entrance way on St Phillips Road.

Don't forget, you can also join the route at a number of other entrances, including a more direct route from Temple Meads over Meads Reach bridge and through The Dings, joining the path in Barton Hill.

Bornagainstcyclists - thanks for your feedback. We filmed this route for people wanting to ride the length of the Railway Path in its entirety from a well-known starting point (ie Temple Meads). The route you're referring to (through The Dings) is a more direct way to get to the Railway Path, although it isn't continuous yet as there is a short on-road section around the Household Waste Recycling Site to navigate. We'll film that section and post it on the site shortly.

I'd like to raise a point that I found out over the last two days. The Vid starts in the wrong place and send you left and all the signs send you straight on. Confused? I was. The signs (07/03/11) tell you to go straight on, past the car park on your right and sending you over a new 'Cheese Grater' bridge. This land you on 'Cuckhold's Pill' (the old Midland railways rail to barge transfer yard) and then directs you through 'The Dings' following the alignment of the old railway, around the civic amenity site, under 'St. Phillips Causeway' eventually joining the path.
I know the area has changed a lot recently, but could you not edit the vid so take this into account? I bet there are still some people form Bath that are still trying to find their way back home!
