Toddlebike teams up with Bristol Cycle Festival

Organisers of Bristol Cycle Festival, taking place this September, have teamed up with Toddlebike to widen its appeal to include toddlers and their families.

The benefits of cycling are difficult to underestimate - from health to social, financial and environmental - but traditionally there has been less on offer for toddlers or their families wanting to cycle. However, Toddlebike hopes that by attending events like Bristol Cycle Festival they can encourage toddlers to become bike riders of the future.

Antony de Heveningham, organiser of the Bristol Cycling Festival, explains why the Bristol Cycle Festival has teamed up with Toddlebike to be as accessible as possible:

"At Bristol Cycle Festival we are hoping to cater not only for already-keen cyclists, but also to showcase the activity to those who may be considering it for the first time. We're looking to put on an event that feels more like a village fete than a World Cup. Providing new features for families to enjoy such as our Toddlebike Trials is one of the ways we hope to achieve this."

Bristol Cycle Festival takes place from 17–25 September with the Family Day planned for Sunday 25 September. More details are available at http://bristolcyclefestival.com

Toddlebike trials will be offered free of charge in a no-pressure environment with the aim of showing parents that there are fun, and practical alternatives to buggy or car transportation for most journeys.
