Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils are leading on the Cycling City project, working with Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset councils to promote cycling across the region.
Who can enter? All school pupils, including those outside Bristol, can take part in the Schools’ Competition and help win a prize for their school.
Every school that has five or more pupils taking part will be eligible to be entered into the prize draw. There is a prize for the first primary and secondary school names drawn out of the hat.
The draw will take place on Friday, 1 July 2011 and the winning schools will be notified early July.
The school that has the most children taking part in the event will also be recognised. Southville Primary School (pictured above) has had the most children taking part for the last seven years. Will another school claim their crown this year?
On the day of the event, after completing the ride, all children taking part in the Schools’ Competition need to go to the certificates stand at the end of ride event, where their name and school will be recorded.
Please remember all riders taking part in Bristol’s Biggest Bike ride need to register for the event by completing the Rider Registration Form.
