Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils are leading on the Cycling City project, working with Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset councils to promote cycling across the region.
Whether you’re travelling by bicycle, motorbike, smart car or motorbike, there’s a safe space for you at the newly refurbished College Street site on St George's Road in Bristol city centre.
The popular central car park has been given a makeover as part of the Environment Agency’s £25 million Horizon House development.
Horizon House developer Westmark handed the car park over on January 10 along with a Safer Car Park “Park Mark” from the British Parking Association. Park Mark symbols are on display throughout the car park (as shown on the left of the picture).
As well as ample parking for cars, and dedicated parking for motorbikes and smart cars, the car park also has 66 interior cycle parking bays monitored by CCTV, meaning that suspicious behaviour is tracked and recorded.
The car park is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. More about this story can be found at Bristol City Council's news pages. Details about the car park can be found on Bristol's Car Park finder.
If you are locking your bicycle at this car park, Better By Bike would always recommend using two strong locks. Visit our bicyle security page or watch this movie, filmed in Bristol recently, for a guide to locking your bicycle securely:
