Who can take part?

Anyone with a bike!  It’s a free, fun event for people of all ages and abilities.  You can take part as an individual or as part of a team – it’s up to you!  Families are very welcome, but please remember we recommend that any children under 14 taking part should be accompanied by an adult.

What types of bike are permitted?

All types of non-motorised bikes, including electric bikes, can be ridden at the event.  Please ensure that bikes are roadworthy.  If you are unsure, seek advice from your nearest bike shop.

Can I ride with a bike trailer?

Yes, but please consider your passenger's safety at all times and be aware there may be pinch points on some of the rides if your trailer is particularly wide.  The Family Fiesta would be the most suitable route.

How much does it cost?

Bristol’s Biggest Bike Ride is a free event run by the Council.

When can I register?

The last day for online registrations is 5pm, Friday 14th June 2013. Alternatively, you can turn up and register on the day. Please leave at least 45 mins for this, as it can be very busy.

Why do I need to register in advance?

Having prior knowledge on the expected number of participants on the day helps us to manage this event effectively. To avoid long queues on the day, please pre-register online before the event.

Do I have to ride the cycle route I chose when I registered?

No.  Bristol's Biggest Bike ride is a fun event and you can change your mind at any time.  On the day rides set off at different times, so please check to make sure you don’t miss the start time of your chosen ride.
