Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils are leading on the Cycling City project, working with Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset councils to promote cycling across the region.
Organisers of Bristol Cycle Festival have announced some of the creative bicycle troupes that will be on parade in the Freewheelin' Carnival on Sunday 19 September.

The bike-based carnival departs from Queen Square at 12 noon for a mass ride around the city centre. Free bike decorating workshops will be available on the day, as well as in the build up courtesy of The Bicycle Art School - http://bicycleartschool.blogspot.com/
After the carnival a cycle-style competition is planned at Queen Square with categories for the best dressed riders and their bikes.
