New cycle paths open for business
This July Bristol City Council officially opened the cycle paths along Ridgeway Playing Fields with a fun event for local primary school children.
Next month the council officially open Festival Way so you can travel to Bristol's Balloon Fiesta safely by bike. The route runs from Hotwells to Ashton Court and joins up with the Chocolate Path, meaning you can travel on traffic-free cycle paths all to way from Prince St Bridge in the city centre.
Later this summer, South Gloucestershire Council launch their new traffic-free cycle path - from the edge of Lockleaze, past Abbeywood Train Station and Filton College to Parkway Train Station.
A list of all new cycle paths can be found at: www.betterbybike.info/completed-schemes |

Pedal for power at the Harbour Festival
Come and see the cycle zone at Bristol's Harbour Festival (from July 31 to August 1) and use your pedal power to help us keep the stage running.
The stage at the Amphitheatre, sponsored by Better By Bike, will be powered entirely by solar and pedal power. We're relying on willing volunteers to keep the stage running and the crowd entertained.
A number of local businesses have put teams together. If you're interested, come along on the day and find out what slots are available. |
