Have your say on the design of Southern link to UWE

The Southern Link to UWE, one of the Cycling City projects in South Gloucestershire, is planned to be designed and built in between April 2010 and March 2011.

The design process for previous Cycling City routes has involved direct input from cyclists obtained by riding the proposed route with the design engineer(s) involved.

A ride on the proposed route is planned for Thursday 18th February 2010, starting at Jellicoe Avenue, Stoke Park at 10.30am.

The ride will present an opportunity to look for obvious problems to continuous cycling and possible solutions or improvements which can be fed into the design process in advance of the formal consultation for the route, which is programmed for early 2010/11.

If you are unable to attend the ride on February 18th, your comments and observations can still be made during the consultation stage, when a route design will be available for your consideration.

Comments and observations can be sent  in writing, after the ride or at any other time. Further information is available from cycle.forum@southglos.gov.uk or 01454 863640.
