Family Cycling Event - 21st Oct

Life Cycle UK will be holding it’s first ever family cycling event at Windmill Hill City Farm on October 21st  from 12-4pm. . The event will be run at Windmill Hill City farm, and aims to give families help to get them cycling or keep them cycling.

Based on a model that has been tried and tested in Seattle, USA, the event will include:

  • A kids bike swap – where parents can bring along their old outgrown bikes and exchange for the next model up.
  • Dr Bike will be present to allow bikes to be fixed. Life Cycle will have a range of equipment available for parents to try out – such as bike seats, tag-a-longs, a trailer and an electric bike.
  • Life Cycle will also be offering cycle training taster sessions for children and for adults.

Life Cycle will also be bringing around 30 refurbished bikes in different sizes to form the basis of the kids bike swap. The idea is that parents bring their old bikes and trade them up. Life Cycle will also allow parents to purchase bikes at low cost, if they don’t’ have one to swap.

Windmill Hill City Farm will also be holding an “Apple Day Celebration” with apple pressing, bobbing, a bar and a farmers market on the same day.
