Free cycle parking for small business in Bristol

Local cycling charity Life Cycle UK is offering small Bristol businesses the exclusive chance to claim free cycle parking.

Life Cycle UK run a scheme called 'Take a Stand' under which small businesses, along with charities, community groups, churches, doctors surgeries and the like are eligible to receive up to 4 cycle parking stands – absolutely free of charge.

The stands are the Sheffield stands seen in the shopping centres up and down Bristol. Charlie Bolton, who co-ordinates the scheme said:

“We are delighted to be able to continue to offer our free cycle parking to small organisations up and down Bristol. Cycle parking is one of the most basic measures you can take to increase levels of cycling by improving cycle security. We would like local small Bristol-based businesses to get in touch if they want to take advantage of the scheme – and best of all, it doesn’t cost a thing!.'

Life Cycle will deliver up to 4 Sheffield stands to organisations based in the Bristol City council area, free of charge. All the business has to do is install them. Stands can be installed anywhere other than a public highway.

The scheme is funded by Bristol City Council and has run in Bristol for many years. Several hundred stands in Bristol have been distributed under the scheme.

Businesses or community groups interested in getting hold of some cycle parking can find more information from www.lifecycleuk.org.uk or contact Charlie on 0117 353 4580.
