Cycling 'soundslides' produced by local artist

Cycling City is working with over 50 large and small businesses across the region to promote a stronger cycling culture.

Match-funded grants were available for businesses to encourage their staff to cycle. Some have invested in cycle parking and changing facilties and some have invested in ways to promote cycling to their staff.

Pierre Fox at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership (AWP) NHS Trust took one of the most creative approach to promoting bicycle usage by developing the Go Low initiative, which promotes various forms of sustainable transport.

As well as investing in a new bike shed and loan bike fleet, Pierre commissioned local artist (and keen cycle-tourer) Nick Hand to produce these soundslides, capturing why cycling is a popular thing for AWP staff to do.

Danny HillDanny Hill (pictured right) and staff from Bristol Vocational Service tell us about their conversion to cycling to work, including the business and health benefits that cycling brings them and their service users.
