Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils are leading on the Cycling City project, working with Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset councils to promote cycling across the region.
You probably know by now that cycling is a great way to get around Bristol - whether for work or leisure.
You might also know that Greater Bristol's Cycling City project is helping Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils to build new cycle paths and encourage residents to cycle.
But you probably haven't heard about the extra cycling parking that the city's event organisers are now bringing to city events, allowing you to use your bike for even more journeys.
This year, alongside over 1500 new permanent cycle parking spaces throughout the city centre, extra cycle parking zones have been organised at three locations at Bristol's Harbour Festival, taking place over the weekend of 31 July.
All three temporary cycle parking zones will be open from 11am-11pm on Saturday and 11am-7pm on Sunday and are located at:
All zones will be signposted and Dr Bike mechanics will be at each site from 12 noon until 4pm on Saturday to carry our FREE bike checks and minor repairs/adjustments.
More detail about the cycle parking zones is available at: www.bristolharbourfestival.co.uk/visitor_info.php
Don't forget to bring your lock and, if you are intending to stay on until later in the evening, your lights.
A similar cycle parking zone will be available at Bristol's Balloon Fiesta at Ashton Court, from 12th until 15th August.
