Bug Bike Hunts - Autumn Family Cycle Rides

The summer holidays will soon be over but don't fear - a new cycling activity for children will keep those little monsters at bay for a bit longer!

In conjuncture with the Bristol Cycle Festival (11-26 September) and Bike to School Week (13-17 September), South Gloucestershire Council and Bristol City Council are holding four FREE insect-themed cycle rides.

Families are invited to come along to one of the Bug Bike Hunt starting points and collect their free scorecards.

Participants need to cycle the route using the map provided and collect as many creepy crawly clues as possible. Special prizes are available for all participants completing the ride.

You can take part in a Bug Bike Hunt between 11am and 3pm at the following starting points:

Saturday 11 September

  • Emersons Green Library
  • Avon Picnic Area (across the river, opposite the Create Centre)

Saturday 25 September

  • Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre
  • Whitchurch Railway Path (Crayden Road entrance)
