Bristol Bike Culture - 2010 Year of the Bike

Here we are in February and things are already getting busy for 2010 - Year of the Bike. Just have a look at the number and range of events.

As well as the impressive range of rides for all levels and all around the area, there are some exciting events such as

the free drop in women's bike maintenance session at the Bristol Bike Project this Monday (and next)
The monthly bike jumble this Saturday (and every month)
Lifecycle's Know your bike bike maintenance course on Tuesday
Sprockets and Dust bicycle powered party from Spoke 'n' Chain on Sat 13th
The Mardi Gras Lit Up Bike Ride on Tuesday 16th from Cap'n BikeBeard

You don't need to go to watch the film Veer or go to Copenhagen to see a thriving Bike Culture, we've got it right here in Bristol!

Thanks Daisy Chain. We allow some users to post their own events. It looks like this event was posted with the incorrect date. I've changed the event date to Tuesday 16th (which is also Shrove Tuesday).

So, just to confirm, the Mardi Gras Lit Up Bike Ride is on Tuesday 16th.

If you follow the link for the Mardi Gras Lit Up Bike Ride, it takes you to a poster showing the date as Tuesday 16th although the text on that page refers to Friday 26th.
