Book now for Bath Ales' Biking Bonanza Sat 9 June

Join Bath Ales on Saturday 9 June 2012 for the, now famous, Biking Bonanza; a fun, family bike ride along the Bristol-Bath cycle path organised in a bid to raise funds for Frenchay Hospital's after-burns unit children's support group, the FAB Club.

The event is a family-friendly occasion with a choice of cycle routes to suit all abilities.

Congregating at either The Hop Pole in Bath, or Gardiner Haskins in Bristol, cyclists will make their way to the half-way point at the Bath Ales new head office, Hare House, from midday onward. Here they’ll be met by plenty of fantastic food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments, live music, a raffle, kid’s activities and much more.

Started by our head brewer, Gerry Condell, who was burned in a brewing-related accident and received ensuing treatment at Bristol's Frenchay Hospital; Gerry saw FAB’s good work first-hand and has subsequently organised the Biking Bonanza to fundraise for this excellent cause.

Providing on-going support to burn-injured children and their families, the FAB Club helps to re-build Self-esteem and confidence through activities such as camps, fun days and parties. Friendships are made by the children and their families whilst giving mutual support to one another.

Lead by Gerry, who will this year undertake a mammoth sponsored walk from our new pub The Grapes in Oxford all the way back to the Bath Ales brewery in Warmley, we aim to raise more money than ever before. The 2012 Bath Ales Biking Bonanza will be our fifth annual charity bike ride – and we want it to be bigger and better than ever!

Entry costs just £12.50 per adult, with all proceeds going to the FAB Club. Children under 16 can enter for free, but must be accompanied by a fee-paying adult. All adult entrants will receive a special goodie bag at the starting points and an even more special Biking Bonanza certificate! Non-cyclists are also welcome and you can sign-up for just £10.
