Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils are leading on the Cycling City project, working with Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset councils to promote cycling across the region.
A novel cycling event is taking place on Sunday 18 April at The Island, Silver Street, Bristol from 11am to 7pm.
The Bicycle Basket Market is a cyclists version of a car boot sale encouraging cyclists to book a pitch and load their bicycle baskets with their finest produce to sell; bric-a-brac, arts and crafts, clothing, second hand or handmade goods and lots more.
The cost of a standard pitch will be £5, for larger pitches £10. For those of you just turning up on your bicycles to pick up a bargain - it's free.
For more information and to book a pitch, go to www.bicyclebasketmarket.blogspot.com
This event has been supported with a Cycling City small events grant. More information about Cycling City's small events grant can be found at www.betterbybike.info/funding-community-events.
