Bristol and South Gloucestershire councils are leading on the Cycling City project, working with Bath & North East Somerset and North Somerset councils to promote cycling across the region.
Avon Cycle Way
The Avon Cycleway is an 85 mile circular route in the countryside around Bristol. The route takes in many lovely villages, numerous historic landmarks and a some beautiful landscape.
The route is largely on country lanes, but also includes some off road tracks.
